• Asphalt Crack Filler: This type of asphalt repair only works on surface cracks, so it’s important to repair small cracks immediately before they cause any issues below the surface layer.
• Sealcoating: Sealcoating is the application of a liquid coating designed to protect from water penetration, sun damage, and degrading chemicals. Sealcoating can help prolong the life of your pavement and reduce long-term repair costs. However, sealcoating is only for the repair of small cracks, and it is more of a preventative measure than an actual asphalt driveway repair service.
• Milling Asphalt Patch: If we need to repair deeper potholes, larger cracks, or any other issues with the top layer of pavement, then this is the asphalt repair process we’ll use. During milling, the top layer of asphalt is removed, and repairs are made to the internal structure. The removed asphalt is sent to a processing facility where it is ground down and mixed into a new aggregate. Then a new top layer of pavement is applied to the driveway or roadway.
• Patching: This type of repair is primarily used to fill in potholes. The first step is to remove the damaged pavement and all other debris from the pothole. Once the pothole is clean, the foundation is repaired, and an asphalt patch is applied. The pothole can either be filled with a hot asphalt mix or cold patch asphalt. Cold patch asphalt cures faster, but it is not as long-lasting. Once the hole is filled, the asphalt patch is tamped down to match the level of the existing road or parking lot.
